For services built with AI and a worrying amount of optimism
Your app was built by AI. Give it a pep talk.
You have monitoring. You have backups. You have an agent that says “this should work.” Complete the stack with absolutely non-technical emotional support.
A real scheduled job. A deliberately useless daily pep talk. For your own project, your favourite service, or the company whose status page you keep refreshing.
€4.20 / month per planRenews monthly until cancelled. Cancel each plan separately in Account.
Payment goes to Pay for Nothing and its project/farm plans, not to the named company. The service is the subject of the joke. Account required; no monitoring, repairs, server access or uptime guarantee.
PAY FOR NOTHINGEXAMPLE / NOT LIVE
Absolutely non-technical support
Dear production. You’ve got this. Probably.
You survived yesterday’s deploy. An impressive choice. Take a deep breath, keep your backups close, and try to know what “else” means.
For: it-works-on-my-laptop
Illustrative example. No service is subscribed here. No actual uptime is being claimed. The motivational department has no permissions.
A silly purchase. Actual deliverables.
01 / THE DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT
One daily digital pep talk.
A scheduled job records a templated pep talk for each eligible paid plan, once per UTC day. Your first talk follows the next successful scheduled run after payment is confirmed.
Secular comedy for software. The text is automated; a delayed job can delay the talk. We never invent a missed day’s log.02 / THE PAPERWORK
A private certificate.
Each independent plan gets a printable digital Server Pep Talks certificate in Account after confirmed payment. Frame it near the incident dashboard for morale.
The certificate records a joke purchase. It does not certify safety, security, availability or technical quality.03 / THE PUBLIC SPECTACLE
A place on the wall. Optional.
Public visibility is selected by default at checkout. We group public plans by service nickname and show how many distinct signed-in accounts and independent public plans support each one. Actual recorded pep talks appear after the job runs. Prefer private? Choose it before paying, or change it in Account.
Use a nickname you are happy to publish. Buyer identity, email, billing details and infrastructure URLs are never part of the wall.
Each plan is a separate €4.20/month subscription. Several people can support the same service; one person can add multiple plans too. Stop any plan’s renewal independently. A cancelled plan continues through its paid period.
The crowd is real. The optimism is automated. Absolutely no root access.
The Good Vibes Wall.
Find the services people are cheering on. Counts show distinct signed-in accounts with eligible paid public plans and the number of independent plans. One person may have several accounts; these are not verified unique people. A plan waiting for its first job is labelled; recorded talks show their actual time.
Loading real supporters and recorded pep talks…
Names are supplied by buyers and grouped only when spelling, case and spacing match. Payments fund Pay for Nothing, not the named company. Listings do not imply official company endorsement, ownership, verified identity or server health. Private plans do not appear in public counts.
Before you outsource your optimism.
Will this keep my service online?
No. There is no uptime guarantee, monitoring, maintenance, repair, incident response or access to your infrastructure. You receive the daily pep talk and certificate described above.
Do I have to provide credentials or a website URL?
No. Choose a service nickname using letters, numbers, spaces, dots, underscores or hyphens. Keep credentials, URLs, customer data and private identity details out of it.
Can different people support the same company or service?
Yes. Nobody needs to own or work for a service to cheer it on. Matching public nicknames share one wall entry. Three plans bought by two signed-in accounts show as 2 accounts and 3 plans. We count accounts, not verified unique people. Each checkout adds an independent €4.20/month plan with its own certificate, log and renewal; it does not grant company affiliation or technical access.
Can I keep my pep talks private?
Yes. Turn off public visibility at checkout or in Account. Your private certificate and recorded pep talks remain available to you. Private plans do not add to the public counts. Previously public entries may already have been copied by visitors.
Is this anti-AI?
No. AI in the right place is magnificent. A motivational paragraph pretending to be an infrastructure product is in exactly the wrong place. That’s the joke.
